How to use the different measurements indicated on the sheets?
Buying clothes online, whether first or second hand, can be a bit complicated because sizes can vary from one brand to another but also from one country to another, for example a 42 FR is not equivalent to a 42 IT, …
At Le Beau Gustave, the products we sell are measured online, in addition to the size provided by the brand, to ensure that the garment you are buying is the right size. This way, you can compare the measurements of your favorite pieces to the one you are thinking of buying to be reassured about the size. To help you compare these measurements, here is a short guide on how and the different markers we use to take flat measurements.
Regarding jackets/shirts/coats/sweaters/bathrobes
On these types of products, there are 3 measures we take.

Here's how we classify product condition!
To ensure you have the best possible second-hand experience, transparency is key to ensuring you have the best possible customer experience, and this includes knowing the objective condition of the product. In addition to our detailed descriptions of the products and their condition, we provide a general idea of what's new to good, but how does this translate?
- New: As indicated, the product is as close as possible to its original condition. In order for the product to be considered new, it has no signs of wear or pulled threads or anything else and if specified in the description, may still have its label... If it concerns shoes, for example, the sole has no marks. For regular second-hand buyers, including international buyers, this is the equivalent of the Pristine condition.
- Very Good Condition: Most of the products sold by Beau Gustave fall into this category. In order for the product to be classified as very good condition, it has some signs of wear related to normal use of the product or some slight defects such as light marks in the leather or pulled threads for example. These small defects are always highlighted in the description but also shown in photos.
- Good condition: Some products may be described as good condition because they show noticeable signs of wear, which we always highlight in our descriptions and photos.
At Beau Gustave, a piece is considered vintage if it's more than 20 years old. Vintage products are more likely to be damaged due to their creation date.
If it is not highlighted, the products do not come with their original packaging but are either packaged by us with recyclable paper or, if available, with packages from other brands because the reuse of packaging is part of our approach towards more responsible consumption!

Once you have made your choice, you have the choice of click and collect at our showroom located at 18, rue Duret in Paris 16th arrondissement or sending by Colissimo, insured against signature.
We ship the package by Colissimo, to a relay point or to your home against signature.
When you open your package, you will find that there is a protective seal on your item. This seal acts as a label, you can try the product with the seal and once removed, you can no longer return it.
Can't find the exact product as shown in the photos and description? Contact us, we'll discuss it, and if it turns out we missed something, we'll take the item back if the seal is still intact.
